PRAYER REQUEST: Integral Alliance Disaster Response for Cyclone Haiyan, the Philippines

November 14, 2013

The issue in brief:
Latest figures, which are changing daily, estimate that 11.3 million have been affected by this devastating cyclone. Approximately 670,000 people are displaced, and estimated fatalities are at least 10,000. Initial rapid assessments are on-going and many areas remain inaccessible. Bad weather is also significantly hampering relief efforts.

Prayer points:

  • Please pray for the 18 Integral Members responding to this disaster - for timely and effective information sharing and coordination.
  • Eight agencies are responding directly, or through partners - please pray for protection on all those currently in country assisting with relief operations.
  • Access is a major issue, so pray God opens the way for supplies to reach those who need it the most.
  • Please also pray for an outpouring of God's spirit on His Church in the Philippines - that they would be united and empowered to reach out with God's love and grace at this time.
