SCOPE
Theme: Serving the purposes of God in your generation with integrity of heart and skilful hands.
A theme that served us well at this year’s Governing Council meeting in Dakar, Senegal (28th Sept -3rd Oct) where African Church leaders, Christian Organizations and partners came together to discuss issues of fundamental importance to AEA and its constituents, the Church in Africa.
In this issue we look at the GC meeting in Dakar, where the current General Secretary of AEA Rev. Aiah Foday-Khabenje was unanimously given a fresh 4 year mandate by the Council to serve AEA up to June, 2017.
Key presentations by African leaders, on the theme, reports from various commissions and projects of AEA and resolutions concerning the health of the church in Africa is of focus.
To bring the theme home the Governing council focused on the children of Africa was discussed in greater detail in the Holistic Child Development seminar that preceded the governing council.
