Together for influence, impact and identityEFC PRESIDENT AND VP ON WEA INTERNATIONAL LEADERSHIP TEAM
This week EFC President Bruce J. Clemenger and EFC VP Operations Bill Winger will be participating in the World Evangelical Alliance's International Leadership Team (ILT) meetings, held this fall in Indonesia.  The ILT is comprised of senior staff, commission chairs, regional general secretaries and representatives of the WEA's global partners. The meetings are being held in advance of the second gathering of the Global Christian Forum, also being held in Indonesia, which brings together representatives of all Christian denominations and traditions.

WEA APPOINTS CANADIAN TO SERVE FRENCH-SPEAKING ALLIANCES AND FELLOWSHIPS WORLDWIDE
The World Evangelical Alliance, of which the EFC is a member, has appointed Stephane Lauzet of Quebec to serve the WEA’s French-speaking national Evangelical Alliances and Fellowships and the wider francophone world.

OPEN HOUSE AT EFC CENTRE FOR FAITH AND PUBLIC LIFE
The EFC’s Centre for Faith and Public Life hosted its annual open house on Monday. Christian leaders, Parliament Hill staffers and MPs were challenged by a brief talk from Sudhakar Mondithoka on the increasing persecution of Christians and the development of anti-conversion laws in India.

EFC AT CONSULTATION ON OFFICE OF RELIGIOUS FREEDOM
EFC Vice-President Don Hutchinson will be a panellist at the Department of Foreign Affairs consultation on the establishment of an Office of Religious Freedom scheduled to take place on Monday, October 3.

DON’T MISS UNDERSTANDING RELIGIOUS PERSECUTION SEMINAR
The EFC, together with Voice of the Martyrs Canada (an EFC affiliate), is pleased to have Sudhakar Mondithoka, of India, teaching a two-day seminar on "The Theology of Persecution” focusing on religious freedom and the global persecution of Christians.  The seminar will take place September 27 and 28 in Ottawa.

WAYS TO KEEP YOUNG PASTORS HEALTHY AND ATTRACT GIFTED YOUNG LEADERS
In this article in the EFC online publication Church and Faith Trends, five denominational leaders look for innovative ways to keep pastors healthy and attract new gifted leaders.
